This Sunday in most of the US, the clocks are moving ahead by an hour. This means more afternoon sun, but it also means you lose an hour of sleep and your sleep schedule can be thrown off track. To cope with the change, Health magazine recommends getting up five to ten minutes earlier every two-to-three days for the next two weeks.
This is the reverse of what to do when Daylight Savings Time ends in November (go to sleep about 15 minutes earlier). While waking up earlier isn't a pleasant thought, sleep problems are worse.
